Back in the house I had started to set up for an estate sale, a couple of weeks later and all refreshed from last weeks sale......I started some serious basement hunting for more treasures........and finally found these.........

The man in that lived in this house was a real pack rat.......the box of sweeper parts were amoung all these boxes.....

Lo and Behold, HOOVER parts !!!!!

.......that had never been used!!

The owner was a furier for one of the local old time department stores,,,,,,,this was the machine he used to sew furs together to make a coat.......

He also had an oldtime Singer Treadle........

His very vintage washer and dryer used to reside here........they now have a new home with me and were a very special set.....more of them to come a little later........

I found a few things also to add to my collections of stuff......such as this original A&P toy, in the original box......A&P were grocery stores in the NEOhio area. For years they gave out Currier & Ives dishes. A&P stood for Atlantic and Pacific........

Wow...looks like you had a great time with this sale. There could have been anything in those boxes. I will be looking for the photos of the washer and dryer. What a treasure trove! Thanks for posting the photos.

Jimmy, If you ever need help sure would love to work a couple of those old vintage estates! It can be grulling work but very interesting too!
Have not seen one of those measuring sticks since the 70's.
Believe Niagria Falls was where I saw it!
