Hey
I got a royal 8000 with a 6 amp motor. I looked through posts and onery had a similar vacuum he sold on eBay. He did a video on it. It has the wheel chrome wheel covers etc. My phone took a swim so hence no pics. It has light burgundy bag. I love royals. I got it at thrift store for $10. I don't like chrome carbon brush covers. My 880 carbon brushes fit my d80 carbon brushes. I ordered carbon brushes for it. I have a question about the fan. There is no holes in armature blades I don't want to ruin. What is the trick to taking fan off. Is this also known as Everlast 8000? Les |

Les,
The vacuum cleaner you're referring to that John has is a 1982 model 880. This is what the 8000 looked like. The early editions from 1988 had a white cord (see also the 9000 in picture 2), but was changed to match the rest of the trim (burgundy) by 1989. Here is a video that shows you how to replace a fan: ~Ben |
