I've noticed that both wands on older Filter Queens are curved as are the wands on the tank style Royals. Also they both have the rubber fitting on the end that fits over the tools rather than sliding into them like on a Eureka or Electrolux. The rug nozzle is also similiar on both...so what I am wondering is, were Filter Queen and Royal manufactured by the same company at some point in time thereby having these similiarities? Gary |

Before the Filter Queen was introduced, Healthmor sold an upright called the Health-Mor. It was made for them by Royal and looked identical to the Royal straight suction uprights, except it had a foot switch instead of one on the handle, and the nozzle was different. And when the Filter Queen was introduced, Royal Built their first few models until they were able to build their own plant. I think the last Filter Queen built by Royal was the 350. Jeff |
