The lady from whom I recently bought the "Refurbished - Reassembled - Inspected and Warranted by Electrolux -- Model E" emailed me this past week and said she found some more "Electrolux Stuff" that I could just have if I wanted it.

So I met her today. She had an original E-Automatic floor/rug tool in great shape,  a set of aluminum wands, a white dusting/upholstery combo brush, a couple of miscellaneous attachments, another coiled white hose, and a beautiful woven vinyl hose that's not an original Electrolux hose, but it looks great with this machine! It has a perfect seal and works great!!

I told her that her mother must have had a lot of vacuum cleaners!

Very nice! Love that hose too. It has a very classic look. Couple of questions:

1) Was the E considered a budget model or was it the TOL model?
2) Are those wheels replacements? The wheels on my Model E are smaller and black.

Nice find!

The Model E originally was not so much an "economy model" but a lighter-weight option for those who didn't like the weight and bulk of the Model LX. The original wheels were black.

When the E-Automatic came out the E continued to be sold as a lower-tier model. It was replaced by the Model T and then the Model S.

Stunning!

What a gorgeous Model 'E'!  I see it has been 'accessorized' with a power nozzle port or outlet.  Neither of mine have had that salesman/dealer modification.   The PN1 Power Nozzle of course made its debut in 1957, a few years after the introduction of the 'E'.  VERY NICE, and as commented above, very nice hose as well.
