Hey everybody, I hope everybody had a nice Mother’s Day yesterday and I did but anyways yesterday I was in eBay and I saw this beautiful red dirt devil power lite from 1997 and the starting bid was $25 and shipping was $20 so I was the only bidder to place my bid of $26 dollars so I won but 3 mins later it went downhill. It was told that my order was canceled! Canceled! I was like what the hell? So my gmail sent me saying my order was canceled because it was either out of stock or item was damaged, my aunt Fanny! But it it also sent me a “refund”, but it didn’t took any money out of my account! Bunch of cheap nasty baloney! Along with the refund stuff, it also sent me a note from the seller saying I’m so sorry that you’re item got canceled because it was being sold on offerup.com or something else or whatever I kinda forgot because I put the email in trash. So after all the disappointment, I decided to give the seller a negative feedback which y’all can see. Tell me what you guys think, because I DESERVE to be a winner winner chicken dinner to this beautiful dirt devil!!!!

Yeah...I think most Ebay sellers are reputable. However, there are those few...a few months ago, I bid on an item and lost the bid. About three days later, I was contacted by the seller stating that the sale fell through and I was given a second chance. Well, I took it. A day later, she canceled the order on me! She received negative feedback from me too. I've since notice that she canceled her Ebay account.

I've had that sort of stuff happen to me also. One time I won a wireless router for $5, paid immediately and then the sale was canceled an hour later with no explanation. My guess is the seller was dissatisfied his item only received one bid.

Another time, I won an auction and paid, then later in the evening the order was canceled with the seemingly lame explanation that the item was already sold. I got very angry, assuming he'd gotten a higher back-channel offer and went round and round with the seller until he finally explained that eBay had automatically relisted the item after he'd sold it and shipped it out. I apologized and we forgave each other.

All that said, I sell a lot of stuff on eBay and as far as I'm concerned, a sale is a sale. I keep up my end of the bargain whether I feel like I've gotten what the item is worth or even if I lose money.

The refund will not be refunded until the payment you made is processed through. If no payment was made yet then there will be no refund obviously.

There are people that don't bother to read and understand how ebay works, so they think they can put something up for sale on both places, and just forget about eBay. When they sell it on the other website then they forget it's on eBay and think it won't matter.

It's not a matter of if you deserve something or not, that's just how online auctions work.

Really sorry about that, my good friend threw a hissy fit when I didn't inform him I was going to start selling off my collection, and he just had to have that one. If you are interested in any other 90's dirt devils I have almost all of them. Please don't hate me :'(

Once, I missed bidding on a mixer on eBay. There were no bids, so I messaged the seller and they responded that they would list it as a buy it now. When I went to look for it, I couldn't find the listing, so I messaged them and they said someone else had purchased it. They should have put for me only. I just assumed it wasn't meant to be.

Austyboi303, I didn’t know you’re a member of vacuumland! I’ll never hate you. I wasn’t thinking straight at all when I left a negative feedback because I was still in bed sleeping when I placed my bid, I feel kinda bad. I’m doing good now.

I'm confused, why would any money come out of your account if you never got a chance to pay for the item?

PayPal now drafts your account immediately when you hit the "Pay Now" button. Refunds, however, take longer to process. Until very recently, PayPal had a delayed payment option that gave the seller his or her money immediately but didn't debit the buyer's account for 14 days. I had a few instances where my "refund" simply added up to a cancellation of payment.

My honest opinion. I wouldn't be doing business with him. What he did was wrong. You wkn the bet and just because another person threw a temper tantrum he cancelled the order. He need to pay the overdraw fee and I would look for another seller. He proved untrustworthy.

Post# 392056 , Reply# 27   5/17/2018 at 10:17 (2,142 days old) by electroluxxxx (……)

here's a lesson: ( class get your pens and notebooks ready)

when purchasing on ebay:
if bidding on an item and you have won the item it is best to usually wait a couple of hours before paying for it due to these situations. usually on a Buy it now payment is required immediately unless otherwise stated.

now according to his listing the vacuum was NOT described as being listed on another site and therefore can be canceled at any time, instead it was listed as an auction that you rightfully won and like other members have said you should be compensated for what you won.

now as for payment!
if paying ACH meaning through your bank account, it can take up to 3 business days for the funds to come out and it can take just as long for the money to be refunded. as for you over drafting your account is NOT Austins problem and NONE of our business, not only that but i have to agree with Alex that if you didn't have the money then you should not have bought the machine to begin with and besides you are lucky to have an overdraft fee of $12.50 as I am sure most of us pay twice to 3 times more than that. and one more thing!

excuses like, " I wasn’t thinking straight at all when I left a negative feedback because I was still in bed sleeping when I placed my bid", " I still feel depressed and disappointed", "I have a little autism in me" basically tells us that you pretty much impulsively bid on the machine and you are using disability and feelings to cover up for your actions. To be honest IT IS A VACUUM!!! feeling Depressed about an object that will eventually show up again is a little overdramatic and honestly nobody cares. Both parties made a mistake and it will be resolved. as for your 12.50 again thats not his problem and i am sure you can make that back quickly.

last tip of advice I can give you is...
if you bid on something and do not have enough funds in your checking account but have funds in your savings you can easily transfer funds from savings to checking online and it is instantaneous.

Post# 392062 , Reply# 30   5/17/2018 at 14:28 (2,142 days old) by electroluxxxx (……)

then you should have waited until the funds came out and then were refunded. so that is clearly not Austins fault and as far as us being "we cool". i was just trying to clear up the drama before it got any worse so YES you should drop it and move on. whats done is done and with that being said there is no need for you to do business with him again unless you two personally work things out and not here in the forum. Remember this... unlike alot of other people I think and speak Logically and with common sense therefore I get right to the point and don't beat around the bush.

This is precisely the reason why I don't promote any of my vacuums on this site whenever I have them listed on eBay. There's just too much potential for cross-talk, static, hurt feelings, sour grapes, etc.

To tell everybody the truth, everything I said on this post is DEFINITELY not me or being my self at all. I’m very sorry I caused a little trouble. I’m mostly here just to post pics of my current vacuums of my collection and talk to everybody about their collection and mine and showing new additions to my collection to satisfy everybody that I’m mostly want to be friends with. I seriously didn’t mean to cause some problems at all.

This had happen to me 2 years ago, on Ebay When I won Singer R1 for the winning bid of $325.00, Well the seller is called Kitty Witty 137, From LA, I told him that if it is ok that I paid him on the next day, he agreed but, later I got a email from ebay that the seller cancel the order! with out my consent! and sold it to the other bidder! I got a email from him, that he was very upset, and wanted to report me after he cancel my order, he told me that if I send the payment he will refund me, and wanted me to reimburse him for the ebay fees, And for not paying on the him on time as a punishment. This seller has a mean ugly attitude, I should report him for harassment thur Ebay, at the time, But I was to hurt by winning the Singer R1 vacuum. This seller is a big drama queen!and should get counselling, and should not sell on Ebay anymore. this seller is not worth a nickel!

Post# 392372 , Reply# 35   5/26/2018 at 13:24 (2,133 days old) by electroluxxxx (……)
I HIGHLY doubt...

any of that happened to you! the seller you are mentioning is Charles Richard Lester and knowing him for as long as he has been known here, that is something he would absolutely never do. Speaking of drama queen it seems as if you are quite the " Drama Queen" yourself with the overdramatic and not so well written description of your post. I mean COME ON!!!!! if you are soooooo butt hurt over something and suggest counseling to someone it sounds as if you need some yourself.

"This seller has a mean ugly attitude, I should report him for harassment thur Ebay, at the time, But I was to hurt by winning the Singer R1 vacuum. This seller is a big drama queen!and should get counselling, and should not sell on Ebay anymore. this seller is not worth a nickel!"

maybe there is more to the story and then again as we have been over this before... (class take notes again)

NOBODY CARES! all this post is adding up to is drama so just let it all go!

I am not going to ague with you, or go down to your level, cuz you are no different than he is, an selfish arrogant Drama Queen. or I guess your an English Teacher too. I did not say, his name is Charles Richard Lester? did I? I only put the seller's Id name only, Why did you post his name? Should it be private? I post this 1. It is the truth, and 2. To show support to GJ3476 of what he went thur. Where is your support to GJ3476? This is his Thread! So show repect!! Get over it! Class takes notes!!

And you are upset, maybe even rightfully so. Now you have vented your frustration, move on. Time to let it go, stop crying, pull up your underoos and move on to the next auction .

Best of bidding luck next time.

has nothing to do with the seller. your inadequate bank funds ebay immediately cancalled your bid after the win once the proper funds werent there and the bank flagged it. i think you owe austin an apology and manage your bank funds better in the future eh?

Post# 392494 , Reply# 42   5/29/2018 at 16:10 (2,130 days old) by Electroluxxxx (……)

I think you misread... he was charged an overdraft fee therefore the funds will go through if an account has overdraft protection which his clearly does . Ebay cannot detect your financial status. The issue has already been solved.
