I know this is the original hose for the Golden Jubilee. Would this hose have also sold with the early super js? It's such a pretty hose.

Yes, the way you can tell if it is the hose that came with your Super J is when you open the front door of the vacuum to change the bag, look at the color of the inside of the door, if it is aluminum colored it came with the white hose with blue and gold stripes, if it is gold colored the hose would be gold with stripes.

I never knew this was the case. The hose I found last year in the coffeyville dig. So the hose and vac came separately. The inside of the bag door is aluminium. So I must have the correct hose. Thanks again!

On a side note- I had given my mother a Golden Jubilee several years ago. She asked me why the bag door kept popping open. I said mom change your bag, lol!

Also, somebody on this site when to the time & trouble to document all the hose colors and combinations all the way back to WWII I think. It was an awesome chart....I wished I had copied it.

That can easily be a mechanical failure too.....make sure her bags are really full to match the setting the machine shows.

Yes, turns out someone had set the dial to one. I turned it back to six.
