Hello! I have a hoover 1030 that I am restoring. It needed a new brush, so I bought one. Recently, the motor has a high pitched whine to it. I can send a video if needed. Please help ASAP as this was my grandma's machine, and have everything (original pack of belts, bags, manuals, and attachments never used!)

model: Hoover Convertible 1030

Did you buy a CWP brushroll? These brushrolls are known to reduce power in the motor. Try running the machine without the brushroll and see if that makes a difference. If that doesn't fix your problem, your motor needs to be lubricated.
