This was so cute I had to share it! I gave a girl friend of mine from work an Olympia one because she didn't own a canister vacuum, and she absolutely loves it. She doesn't know how she did without one. Her youngest daughter Jersey absolutely loves it too. She's become a little vacuum Maiden!

I wonder what it is about the Electrolux Olympia that makes it appeal to kids? I used to play with my grandmother's one too, and still have it. Hasn;t been turned on for about 13-14 years

That’s so cute! I still remember when the Electrolux man unboxed my great grandmother’s Sverado. I was 3, and its the only memory i have from that age... at least its the “first” memory that i can recall. I believe when i locked my eyes on that shiny silver metalic canister i was in love. I was and always have been captivated by the rear cordwinder of all of the 1205 models. The rectangular Electrolux emblem is my favorite part. As a kid, i felt like the vacuum was always smiling at me when i looked at that emblem. I used to love to watch her vacuum with it so that i could follow and watch. After she was finished, i would go back to playing with it until i was old enough to actually vacuum with it. Amd now i am honored to have that Silverado in my collection as well as a whole collection of 1205 models. I feel silly to admit how much i love that rectangular emblem, and i wish Electrolux would have kept that engravement/stamp on the plastic 1205 style canisters.... they are classy!

I think it's the color after the Super J's....same motor in the Oly One and Silverado, but much more interesting color schemes.

I've resisted, but I see a Silverado in my future.....once I restore all these damn Super J's.....lol. Trade perhaps.....

Absolutely adorable little girl. Hope nobody blackmails her later with this pic....lol. My three yr old grandson vacs along with me usually....has a Elux wand and floor head....mimics my motions. Does the same with his little lawnmower.  Loves to watch me 'Royal' his carpet.
