So here he goes again. It's better to leave deep down dirt in to the carpet.
Also vacuums what can pull air through the carpet causes pollution.
Now I have heard it all...

Of course it's better to do that, wouldn't want to put carpet installers out of business now would we? [sarcasm]

Of course. Now we don't need to buy expensive vacuums anymore. 50€ Walmart vacuum will do, because it's important, that the deep down dirt is being left alone :D

I don't really know what to say...
If they don't need deep cleaning why does every carpet manufatures recommend you do deep clean? I'm not buying the it has no effect on the life of the carpet your health either. I assume the dirt and grit will eventually start wearing down the fibers. Plus, I don't think many people vacuum-savy or not will like the idea of who knows how much dirt and dust is deep down in they're carpets ESPECIALLY IF they have young children.

Please tell me this is an elaborate April Fools joke.

It's a well known fact that dirt trapped deep in the carpet actually destroys the carpet over time when you walk on it.  Trapped dirt will grind through the fibers destroying the knapp of he carpet causing the carpet to wear out much faster than normal.

Bring on a good Direct Air cleaner like Kirby or Royal to prevent this from happening!

Amazing what people will claim. There is an Adventist doctor trying to make a claim that tomatoes in any form are bad for your health....even deadly. No bonafide research, just "experience" drawn form all his yrs in private practice.  I guess he didn't get his lake home or Ferrari paid for from his practice.

We all know dirt trapped in a carpet or rug will wear it out-but that boring video MORON-NUNMBSKULL doesn't think so.Maybe he works for a carpet company-you wear out your carpet-then have to buy a new one.HMMMM-maybe this guy will suggest instead of vacuum cleaners we go back to carpet beaters!Yes,with him out there we may have to go to dirt floors!

Let's just chalk this one up to intellectual vacancy... I still feel that the best thing for your carpet is a powerful vacuum (good suction and airflow, enough to move the air and dirt properly) with good thorough agitation to loosen that embedded dirt into the stream of air. Also I've felt for years that letting the bottom plate breathe along the front will help cleaning, experience and observation tell me this. Then have a good shampooing done every so often to remove the dirt the vacuum doesn't.
