Just playing with a new photo lighting system I bought so I thought I'd take a picture of the 1930s English Electrolux's in my collection. The only one I am missing is the model 15 (1933-34) which I have never seen (anyone have one or a picture of one?) and the model 12 (This is the Canadian version in the picture)

The line up is model 12 (1930-33), Model 16 (1933-34), Model 18 (1934-35), Model 24 (1934-35), Model 25 (1935-1945)

At least the English machines had some colour to them. :)

I've always liked the Model 25 with its faceted hose connector and emerald green leatherette. I may still have one stuck away here somewhere.

lux 15.

Hello Doug,

How are you these days?

I have a copy of the "which electrolux is it" guide/leaflet details the 15 as: similar in appearance to the model 25 but higher powered".

No further info given.

I have never seen one and do not anyone who has?

I have a theory; the earlier 25's were 240 watts then later 270.

Perhaps lux decided to drop the 15 when the wattage was increased on the 25 and there would have been no point in producing two almost identical machines with very little power differential between them?

If you would like a copy of the Luton model guide just let me know.

Regards, Walter.

P.s. I have recently acquired a French guide booklet for the models 10 an 11, shame I can't translate it as it shows interesting differences between the Luton and French produced models.
