Hi all,
Given all the canisters nowadays have those awful gas pump handles, I'm looking for one of the following -

*Hoover Celebrity QS canister with Quadraflex Powermatic (the TOL white model or the mint green)

*Hoover Spirt 4.0 canister (S3487) in black with Quadraflex Powermatic

*Kenmore Power Mate canister 3.9HP or higher with 9ft pistol grip hose in beige or white. I could be interested in a white swivel mount canister with powermate and headlight.

Whoops just realized I posted in the wrong area. How do I move it to Super Market?

I agree 100 percent!

I WILL NOT USE anything with that clunky cumbersome handle!

gas pump handle

I'm not sure why all of the power nozzle canisters use the gas pump handle now. You have a few options.
The only electric hose that I know of that does not use this kind of handle is the one from Aerus for their classic canisters. Or, you could get a straight suction canister that has a hose handle that you like and get the Volt battery powered nozzle. Finally, you could get a straight suction canister and purchase a separate power nozzle and a 35 foot electric cord for it, a bit more work but it's doable. Some of my favorite canister grips are the ones on my Miele c1 olympus and my electrolux ultra one, no handle sticking up from the top, just a nice curved handle that's all one piece.

Thanks Nooxy. This would be more for "shits and giggles" than an absolute need. I have a Miele Homecare compact canister at our beach house and I love the handle grip since as you said, it's one piece and curved. Simplicity at its best. I do own a Volt powerhead that I use with my Hide a Hose central vac. Sometimes I miss using a standard vacuum but cannot stand those gas pump handles. I got rid of a Miele C3 Cat and Dog because I couldn't deal with the handle.

Countryguy - I remember those Hoover Celebrity's on sale when I was a really little kid.

mint green one. I'm not sure what condition it's in, but, I'm positive I have one more than I need.

Scott...

I have that exact Kenmore Canister in the third picture you've posted. If you want it, send me an email. I am unloading, and I know we can work something out. Thanks!
