As a kid I used to love watching the infomercials that were always on. Does anyone here archive full 20 minute infomercials? I cant find a particular one that I havent seen since it was aired eons ago. it was for the very first shark vacuum which was called the Euro Pro Bagless Stick Shark. It was the first infomercial I ever watched. I believe it was around 2002. There is an archived one with the cordless sweeper though up on youtube.

I took a look on Bing (which usually has a different set of data than Google), and archive.org didn't have an snapshot of Euro Pro or sharkclean.com. That's unfortunate.
Email them or write them a letter to a US office. For a company so dependent on infomercials they should have an archive. Maybe someone in their marketing department could get in touch with you. There are also a few people on youtube that taped a ton of network television on beta or VHS. Like videoholicreturns has some great vintage tech stuff if you're interested in that. He wouldn't have a vacuum infomercial but there definitely was a huge taping culture for awhile. Someone in the world has to have a copy of that infomercial. I hope you find it one day! |
