Here are a few pics of the new to the market Dyson Ball Animal 2.

This machine is so new that the only retailer currently stocking it is Very. It isn't even on Dyson's own website yet.

As I type this a full unboxing and demo video is loading to youtube.... as soon as the video is live I will post a link to it on this thread.

First impressions - love the colour scheme, the new hose/wand design and very pleased to see they have gone back to the metal wand. Also really like the fact they have included a full size floor tool for using as a cylinder style machine and also that they have addressed on board tool storage issues.

@matt8808

Hi Matt,

Congratulations on the two excellent new Dyson vacuums! I must say I’m very impressed with your videos and this first unboxing was GREAT! I also liked your Karcher carpet washer video too. You are very good at making videos and your voice is very pleasant and you give us detailed information on your videos. Your accent is so great, I love to listen to you speak so it made the video all that more pleasant and fun.

Now, I must also apologize. I was totally wrong and feel I need to apologize to you, regarding your fault and issue you found with the Dyson brushroll and the dirt collecting inside. I don’t know why I got so defensive.. sadly I acted like I was Sir James himself and because my excitement turned into rudeness in my comments toward you, I TRULY apologize. I saw you showing the brushroll on this new Dyson Animal 2 and immediately my stomach fell and I felt so guilty for trying to deny the problem existed. Dyson are great but they are not even my all time favorite so I don’t know why I got so defensive, but regardless the reason.. I apologize and hope you can forgive my behavior.

Anyhow, you did an amazing job on your videos and THANK you for them and the pictures of this exclusive, so new hardly anyone has even seen it.. Dyson! You did a great job and I will be following your YouTube and look forward to more of your videos, just as I enjoy Roger Lang.. you are now a favorite too. Thank you for all you’ve shared, it’s much appreciated.

Thanks and have a great day! Enjoy those gorgeous new Dyson.. I’m soooo jealous!

@HonestJoe68

Don't worry about it lol I had to go back and re-read the Dyson Light Ball thread just to remember what you were talking about!

As I now know that dirt can build up in this area inside the brush roll I will clean it out every month or two when I wash the filters - thus preventing the issue I had with the Light Ball where the inside of the brush roll casing started to wear due to friction from the compacted dirt.

It will be interesting to see how this area of the machine stands up to use in normal household settings when the machine will be lucky if it even gets a filter wash.

Either way I am very happy with my two new machines and will keep them maintained to a high level.

Thanks for the compliments on the videos.... mine are a lot more rough and ready than Rodgers with no editing but they serve the purpose they're intended to I suppose :) your compliments make me blush hahaha

Thank you Matt! I’m sorry if I embarrassed you with my comments and compliments... I was being honest and sometimes I forget how it may sound, but no harm intended. Glad you could laugh about it.

I really do love both your new Dyson vacuums and as I’ve said, in a good way, I’m very jealous! The only thing is, I can only buy the V10... your exclusive Ball Animal 2 is probably yet another cool vacuum design that ONLY the UK gets, and the USA is stuck with our version of the Ball Animal 2, which is awesome, but very different. At least my Animal 2 is Purple.. LOVE the Dyson Purple since the DC07 I had in the lighter purple.

Take care and thank you for your videos, and pictures! It’s funny but only vacuum collectors understand.. it’s like Catnip to a Cat when I see Vacuum cleaners.. My pupils get big and my skin gets tingly and it’s funny but it’s almost a euphoric feeling when I see a new vacuum or one like a Dyson, where I am always impressed with the form and design. I’m glad to see Riccar and some of our other USA companies finally getting into new and different colors. I’m so tired of black and grey vacuums.

Oh, one last thing.. to comment on your keeping your vacuums maintained to a high level.. One, I have No doubt you take excellent care of your vacuums by the looks of your tidy, beautiful home. Two, I have to LOL about that comment when I do things like use my special duster (only for use on vacuums) or I find myself wiping down my vacuums in my vast collection. I’ve even gone so far as to ask my partner Robbie to sew custom covers for my high end Riccar, Sebo and Maytag vacuums. (I will definitely post pictures when he gets them made). I even use all of Rogers helpful tips and for my vacuum maintenance I have a caddy of special waxes, sprays and dusting cloths, used only to keep my vacuums shining. SO I am right there with you on maintaining my vacuums. Glad to know I’m not totally nutters (Joke between Roger and me) by my Vacuum obsessions and behavior! Have a great day!!
