Here's the first project from my workshop, a cleaned-up and buffed-out Electrolux Model XXX. That's all it needed, to be cleaned and polished. The motor is in perfect running order. The "before" machine is in the exact condition that the "after" machine WAS, before I cleaned it up.

This is going to be a special gift for a good friend who is going to come by tomorrow for the "Great Sweeper Giveaway," but who is not (yet!) a vacuum cleaner afficionado. He's coming just for fun. I'm hoping that this unexpected present will whet his appetite for more!

Here are a some photos, then see the link for a brief video.

wow, Amazing

what a transformation
is that metal aluminum?
I guess it is

the XXX's are cool

when did they go to steel/chrome trim?

So many vaccs
so little space...

My limitation still is
vacs I can practically use
or else I'd have no space to vacuum...

I still wonder what one I had?
now I'm not even sure if it was tan or gunmetal

I just finished cleaning the 86 FQ motor of rust
sanded & wet fine steel wool
just enough to make it decent
after all its inside & I was out doing it sweating in 90 weather at my workbench on my balcony..

So, tomorrow we shall meet...

Cool...
