Ok, my Love for Tacony made vacuums lead me to make another vacuum purchase. I have been debating which Fuller Brush Vacuum I wanted and I finally picked the Mighty Maid. It was a close choice between it and the Fuller Brush Easy Maid. It may sound silly but I kinda still want to buy the Easy Maid too as I Like the Clear Opening over the Brushroll.

So, this Mighty Maid is a very nice vacuum. It’s quiet and has powerful suction. I like that since Tacony own them, they use the better quality material and things like the Metal Baseplate and the Crome Steel Brushroll with replaceable brushes. The handle is also Metal and very sturdy, the overall quality suprised me as I only paid $199 for it. (Retails for $349) but I have a business relationship with a very nice local vacuum dealer. He will actually text me pics and say.. hey check out this new vacuum.. I’ll sell you one for......

Now I will admit it is Not the same extreme quality, durability or same deluxe materials as Tacony uses to make the Riccar and Simplicity vacuums.... but for the lower price points, these Fuller Brush vacuums are very nice. I love that you can buy either good quality, inexpensive paper bags, if you’re looking to economize or if you’re like me, you can buy the best quality synthetic bags for added strength. The ONLY thing I was not truly fond of about this great vacuum.. the color! Red is my very least favorite color and this is one of only a small number of vacuums in my total collection that are Red... coincidentally the others Red vacuums are Fuller Brush as well. I own the Fuller Brush Power Maid HEPA Handvac, the Spiffy Maid HEPA Broom Vac, the Speedy Maid 8lb. HEPA Upright and I also own a few Dirt Devil Vacuums are trimmed in Red.

This Fuller Brush has done a great job cleaning all my carpets and rugs and thankfully it has a clutch type system to Stop the Brushroll from Spinning for Hard Floor Cleaning or when using the attachment tools. I also like that since it has very strong suction, on the back (See two pics 11 & 12) it has a suction release valve that works to reduce suction during floor cleaning or Tool cleaning. I haven’t found much to complain about yet and find it very enjoyable to clean with. Oh and it may sound silly but I do like the Large On/Off Switch located right on the handle near your thumb (pic 7). The one thing about the handle I would modify is the handle grip material is rather slick, no texture. I would like a rubber type grip on the handle grip, but that’s just a minor thing.

Let me know what you think and please if you have any questions, I’d love to answer them. Thanks!

These are great vacuums. The store I work for sells them since they are a Fuller Brush dealer and we usually sell them cheaper than the retail price online too. I do agree with you about the color on these, they previously used be grey and I honestly liked it so much better than red. I was disappointed that they've discontinued the Tidy Maid model in favor for the Easy Maid because that was one of my favorites that they've offered.

I have sold a good number of Easy Maid vacuums in the past year. None have come back with any kind of issues. It's based on the Jiffy Maid's platform, but with bags and a steel brush roller.

If you don't care too much for red, the Easy Maid is available as a Carpet Pro in yellow.

Can't wait for the new Fuller models to arrive next month. The 'new' Spiffy Maid broom vac will be so exciting to sell. It will be multi-cyclonic with no loss of suction technology. And no pleated clogging filter.

Thanks guys! Alex, I’ve seen the grey model and it’s sharp looking, very nice. I really am warming up to the Fuller Brush Red because it’s a darker red, almost metallic and not the bright primary Red I dislike most.

Tom the Yellow Carpet Pro is very nice looking, and I did debate on that one too.. but my dealer couldnt easily get one and since he had the Mighty Maid in his store, he offered such a great price on the Fuller Brush model. I really like the bright yellow of the Carpet Pro vacuums and will most likely end up with one. I will definitely keep the new Spiffy in mind too, even though I’m not necessarily a great fan of Bagless, I still would like to own a full sized upright of Fuller Brush for my collection. Tom, do you have any pics or more details about any of the new Fuller Brush line (that you’re allowed to share) for a bit of a preview for us? If not, I understand but am excited too when brand new lines come out. If you wouldn’t mind.. could you let me know when the New Spiffy comes out? Thanks

The pics attached are the Two Carpet Pro I’m interested in adding to my collection.

Any canisters in the fuller brush line? I'm a big lover of canisters.
Mike

Hey Mike,

YES Fuller Brush has some beautiful Canister Vacuums... Home Maid, Tiny Maid and Got it Maid are just a few. They are really nice and I’ve actually cleaned with a few in my local store.

They offer them all over online, so I would just google them and if you find a model you really want, check online and around your town to see who has the best deal.

I’ve attached a few pics... Hope this helps. 😉👍🏼

Does Tacony make all of Fuller Brush's vacuums?

Hi Adin,

As far as I know, yes for about ten years Fuller Brush vacuums are owned by Tacony.

So, the Jiffy Maid is the only bagless vacuum manufactured by Tacony? Are all of the Fuller Brush vacuums made in the US? I wonder if these are different than a Riccar or Simplicity?

@crazykirbydude

Hello,

From what I understand, the Jiffy Maid and the Spiffy Maid Broom Vacuum are the only Bagless vacuums made by Fuller Brush. Correct me if I’m wrong guys.

Now as far as Fuller Brush vs. Riccar and Simplicity and Made in the USA. No, the Fuller Brush, as far as I have seen, are made overseas. The Riccar and Simplicity Uprights are assembled in the USA with foreign and domestic parts. The “Specialty Vacuums” by Riccar and Simplicity, can be made overseas as well, if I recall all are made in China BUT under strict manufacturing specs and designs. I’ve not had any issues with my Simplicity A Go Go, cordless stick vacuum and it’s made of high quality materials and cleans very well.

Now for Fuller Brush Vs. Riccar and Simplicity this is the best way I can describe it. All are owned by Tacony, but Fuller Brush are made to be more affordable and less expensive, so they do use different materials but still try to maintain the high standards of Tacony. I have not found any issues with the less expensive materials used in all my Fuller Brush vacuums, but I of course take excellent care of them and don’t “knock them around or vacuum my driveway with them.. LOL”

So I highly recommend any vacuum under the Tacony name and just tell people to buy the vacuum with the price they are comfortable paying. You can’t obviously compare any brand vacuum to another when one sells for $1,000 dollars and the other for $50. So comparing oranges to oranges.. the price range of Fuller Brush, Simplicity and Riccar will pretty much indicate the level of materials used and across the board one that costs (for example) $700 dollars will be the same regardless what brand.

Also, a note.. I am not 100% sure but some of the lowest priced Uprights and maybe some of the cheaper priced canisters from Riccar or Simplicity.. might be made overseas. I have only knowledge of the lines that are $500 dollars and up. I hope this helps and anyone else catching errors in my post.. please let me know. I have a love affair with the Tacony brand.. my four Maytag vacuums and my Riccar Premium Radiance being my all time favorites! I sometimes think I am going to hire someone to sew custom fabric dust covers for them.. THAT is how much I love them LOL.

Thanks
