Electrolux collectors who like hard-to-find items may want to bid on this seller's listing featuring an aqua Model G Rug Washer and turquoise Carpet Guard drip tray (the water channels on the rim make it look like an ashtray, don't they?).
Btw, there was also an optional wire rack for storage that resembled a shower caddy. I have one of those, too, but they are also quite hard-to-find.
The Carpet Guard was used from 1962 to ca.1966; then was succeeded by the common 3-in-1 Caddy. The color changed from turquoise to tan when the tan Model G version appeared in 1966. I have both colors of the Carpet Guard and the two tan-era pamphlets—one with the Carpet Guard and one with the 3-in-1 Caddy.
