I was browsing through British eBay when I came across a Hoover Turbolite II. I didn't even know these existed. Has anyone seen or owned one of these units ?

I have the U.S. version of this machine. On this side of the pond it was called the Hoover Elite II. The TurboLite was the U.K. version. Note the 220 volt plug.

We only had the Turbolite in the Uk - based on the Elite. I believe Australian Hoover launched the Turbolite 2, based on the direct air Elite.

Keep In Mind

I am from the United States and not the UK which is why I was curious if anyone from across the pond had seen/owned one of these. I knew about the Turbolite I which I am aware is slightly rare.

Its a Aussie Elite

The Turbolite II pictured above is one of three US made Elites sold in OZ

This was the second in the range the first was the styled in the same colour but without attached tools and just know as the Turbolite

The last model in the range was styled in blue and know as the Breeze with attached tools.

Hope that helps
Mark

The UK Turbolite imported from America, came in two models. Both were the 'honey beige' colour scheme. Neither had tools attached, but a separate toolset was included with the second model.

We had no need for a domestic tools-attached Turbolite, as we had the Turbopower and Turbomaster Total Systems.

However, I do recall seeing a red, hard-bag, tools-attached 'commercial' machine, based on the Elite style.
