I remember all these and also remember a lady who had a red and white Westinghouse like the blue and white one in the photo. Had a red hose and attachments.

Of those, I have the Hoover Connie, a gift from Ken Wagman, and the Easy Roll, from Toby Glenn. Have not so much as seen the others in person!

Hoses

I've always been curious why GE and Eureka switched from vinyl hoses back to braided ones on the models which followed those in the POD. Cost? Technology not fully developed and the hoses on the models pictured had problems?

Hey I just picked up that exact pink vacuum. It nice power and it has a filter. I was pleasantly suprised. I paid 10 bucks. Not amazing shape but nothing an hour with steel wool wouldn't make like new.

I have the Lewyt Big Wheel in that picture. Nice vacuum, good suction for a 1950's vacuum, but the letdown is the hose. It is a vinyl hose, but VERY coil-ey, to the point it is rather stiff to use.

I have 4 out of the 6 pictured. The GE and Lewyt were gifts, the Westinghouse was my Aunt's, and the Hoover Constellation belonged to my maternal Grandmother.
