So I've had my Kirby Sentria for a couple of weeks now and I've put it through its paces and am pleased with its performance, to say the least. But there's one benchmark I hadn't yet explored until this afternoonóits shine potential. Since it's very pleasant outside today, I took the machine out on the deck, took the handle and nozzle off and took the rubber bumper off of the nozzle, then wiped everything down thoroughly with Tub-O-Towels pre-moistened shop towels and gave it a good hand polishing with Mother's.

To be sure, it wasn't at all bad when I started, so there's no real dramatic transformation. But after about 45 minutes of work, it's absolutely gleaming! The first three photos are 'before' shots and the last two are 'after'. I just love me a shiny Kirby!

@human

Excellent job Edgar! Thatís a great looking vacuum! Iíve recently come to Love Kirby again and really missed owning one. My last was a Generation 3 about 2 or 3 years after they came out. It was a bit neglected but sure was fun to clean with. Then I had to get rid of it years ago.

So itís awesome that you found such a great deal on yours (better than mine on my Sentria II) and you shined it up so nicely. Have you tried out your shampoo system yet? I cannot wait to try mine but havenít had the time yet.

Thanks for sharing pics of that handsome Kirby Sentria! Iíve got to get mine cleaned up too and post pics. Thanks and enjoy that nice vacuum!

Thanks Joe.

I haven't tried out the Shampoo System yet but I ordered a gallon of shampoo, which arrived a couple of days ago, so it's ready to go once I can get all the junk picked up off the floor. The problem is, I'd rather clean my vacuum than clean my house.
