I needed this thing like I needed a hole in the head, but the price wasnít too bad and shipping was free! So I am now the owner of a Lux International 220V 1 Royal! Anybody know much about them, or where I might begin my quest to find parts? Thanks!

It's a royal cannister. So that alone tells you amazing vacuum. It should last a long time. I would worry about 220v. They have step down switch so you plug into step down box and turn on. The vacuum will be awesome. or Amazon for bags. I noticed ebay does not have alot of royal sellers. I want to say type u bag but I'm not sure. Once you find baggage type cross reference what other vacuums take same bag. That way you can get highest quality bag for your vacuum. I really want a canister so you have to let us know about experience.

I saw that for sale on ebay a couple weeks ago or so. It looks similar to the Aerus Guardian Platinum. When was this vacuum released?

I just received notification from the seller that it shipped! I think it looks a lot like the Aerus Guardian Platinum as well, which is one of the main draws I had to it! Iíve looked into a step up converter in the event I manage to find enough parts to make a useable machine out of it! I canít wait to get it, and will post updated photos when it arrives!!

I was as excited as a little kid at Christmas to open this big box today! FedEx was supposed to deliver it yesterday, BUT due to an error with them reading the address incorrectly, it got bumped up a day! Nevertheless I now have possession of my very first European vacuum cleaner! I canít wait to get this baby home and start cleaning her up and checking it out! Since I donít have a voltage booster yet, Iíll have to wait to power it on, but I have PLENTY to keep me busy in the meantime!

Speaking of, none of you have any idea where I might source a hose for one of these, along with some attachments do you?

Looks cool :) I wonder if an Aerus store could assist. They may not, but just a thought as they may have reference to parts. Those aren't "C" bags so I wonder if those will be difficult to source.

I saw that on ebay as well, I'm glad someone on here grabbed it!

I wonder if these accessories will fit your machine:

The bags look similar, but not exactly the same.

Welcome to the Lux Royal club :)
I have slightly older Lux Royal D790. Yours is the Lux 1 Royal (D820)
I believe these were only sold in the Europe.
Very well known for their high quality, filtration, low noise level and strong suction. They also had 10 year motor guarantee.
These were made in 2001-2010

Wonderful Machines!

I had two of those when I lived in Australia - beautiful quiet running machines with strong suction. You will NOT be disappointed. My only minor grip was that the original woven hose was a fraction too short - but - minor gripe...

I had every accessory known to man with mine. (I'll see if I can find a pic of when I went to sell to move here)

Congrats on such a great find! You will be able to pack the bag full and will be a solid little brick before the bag full indicator lights up!

I think the bag collar is shaped like the Aerus P bag. I would suggest trying those. Theyíre synthetic HEPA bags.
