Hello, I am new to the website. I finally signed up after reading the blogs and posts for many years. Just wanted to say hi. Also if their is any local collectors in tampa or Orlando are let me know. I know of a vacuum store that has recently closed after being in business for 30 years. They have to be cleaned out in 3 weeks and its a mess. The owner has passed and the landlord just wants it cleaned out asap. Has no idea of whats in there or its worth. I pulled 2 vans full of new parts cheap. There are piles of machines, new parts, vintage parts and vacuums. if your interested let me know. I can email you her name and number.

Hello,
I am not sure why he would say it was all junk just maybe not what he collects. I agree that it was a mess to pick through, and I did end up spending a whole day there. They did have hoover convertible hoods, brand new wheels, cord, and bags. I didn't take any of that stuff as I don't collect those. I did however take 1 of two hoover guardsmans they had. I also got boxes of rainbow parts brand new, 30 to 40 electric hoses for lux, rainbow and filter queen. I also got a 5 gallon tub of brand new genuine kirby sanitronic pink cloth bags and d80 cloth bags and cords. Tons of attachments, I even scored a BEE vac and singer r4d vacuum. He also had vintage handhelds. There was so much stuff I am sure I missed a lot as it was hard to kind of pull stuff and move around in there. I know I saw Panasonic jet flos, sanitaire bases, hodds cloth sakeout bags, brand new brushrolls..all still there. Even a couple more vintage vacs like a filtex, hoover upright, airway canister with hose, canned ham eureka canister. So much more stuff. I have 2 storage units filled with stuff already so I only bought what I figured I could sell or use myself, but someone else could go in there and I am sure find more stuff to buy. I also know I did not see a Spraymate head for a Kenmore but they did have a Bissell big green clean machine.

Does the store have just the bare floor attachment to the big green clean machine
I can also use a hoover pixie with cloth bag, d80 bag and a blue kirby tradition cord and if a medium green hoover convertible model 66 hood along with a few 1070 lenses that is the start of the list.
Thank you very much for all you do.
Damien

Sounds like it was more than just junk.

I've been in some places like this. IF you have the time, energy, and old clothes on, you CAN find lots of great things....if you can dig through it all. I've found Hoover bags, lenses, etc. I'm always pleased when I discover things like that. I've even picked up a few items
(other species) for my friends.
It's a tough job, but, it can also be fun unearthing treasures.
Remember: one person's trash is another person's treasure. Or, sometimes, one person's trash is ANOTHER person's trash. Here, it's trash. Help yourself. lol

Another man's treasure! I happen to like places like this. I've been to several vacuum shops. You never know what you might find!

I love

Old junky places, I remember Tania found a place in Evansville years ago, I never got to go, but I heard it was a huge place piled to the ceiling, many treasures were found there!

there are hundreds of these places in this Country alone that are sitting dormant and undiscovered by us yet. I just sit and wait for them to pop up. What kills me are the ones near me that I KNOW of and can't get to because of shady people.

I too love a good ol dirty vacuum dig.
Life is like a piled vacuum shop, you never know what you're gonna get.

It's true...there are as of yet many undiscovered dealer stock inventories that were shut down, or are languishing in some building somewhere. Unless you stuble upon one, you have to have the personality type to root them out....like The Pickers. There's all kinds of signs out there that they exist and then there's word of mouth as well.

This is a definitely an area that's not my strong suit. I tend to stumble into this stuff.

Hi guys!

I saw a new blue Kirby Tradition Cord on eBay.. check the link.

Also anybody needing anything Kirby.. the greatest guy Kent D Oyler can probably find it and he’s very reasonably priced! @Reo580 message him about the bags you need, I’m sure he can help you! I’ve bought a lot of my Kirby and it’s Brand New Genuine Kirby Stuff! The guy is really great!

His store is on eBay, go to www.kirbyneeds.com... and it will take you to his store. Also, please message him if you don’t see what you need.. he might have it or can direct you to it!

Hope this helps! Thanks guys!
