Who wins between the Sanitronic VII and the Classic?

I have 5. they are completely rebult 513 with tan trim and bag but org. replacement parts, incomplete org. gray tools.
A 517 that I rebuilt, org. except for the brown Kirby replace-
ment cloth bag. All orginal cleaning tools. A Dual 80, in org. shape except for the bag. I have a tan cloth bag and
mini emptor, and a newly installed zipper for a Kirby filter
bag. Almost all of the org. attachments but no box!
Of course my Heritage II. Which is complete with all cleaning tool, tubo brush and shampoo kit. Oh, I forgot my
Classic (70), in org. shape but no light fixture under the
lid!
Love everyone of them, not really thinking about any more. Maybe
one G series, some day! Sorry no pics.

I've Got Four!

Recently completed restorations on my Dual 50 and my 512, and recently acquired Classic III and 517. My son has already started polishing on the 517, and the Classic III will need either one or both bearings. My favorite Kirby is the Dual 50.

Legend II
Hand vac that matches the Legend II colors
Gen 3 (daily driver)

and the .5 - a "Supervac 180" commercial machine that's obviously a 500/Sanitronic series with an 18" permanently attached brush head. Done in red, white and blue, of course, with no mention of either Kirby or Scott Fetzer visible. Heavy duty outer bag with a vinyl protector on the bottom section. Takes F&G bags, heavy duty three-wire cord. In operation, it sounds and feels like any other vintage Kirby.

Judging by the Supervac logo style, I'm guessing it's late '60s or early '70s vintage. Anyone have more info on these?

Would post pix, but no working camera at the moment. Sorry.

Yes, the Supervac is a Scott & Fetzer product, a commercial model. There were several of these over the years, including some with the odd brand name "American Lincoln" that was also in a red, white and blue color scheme; there was another one that was green wrinkle finish -- the motor housing I mean, not the trim! And I've also seen one in black wrinkle finish but don't remember which brand name it was given.

I too have been taken by the Kirby Bug,
The Santironic VII and the DS50 are my favorite.

I have tried my work at restoring 1 DS50 and I am using it
mostly as a canister vacuum for my laminate floors.
Love the suction this guy has! Bought her an updated hose
and several boxes of attachments.

Also updated the original cloth bag, it was full of holes
and also updated the electrical cord.

I will have this one rebuilt by Kirby this summer, it is
pretty rough.
