I noticed that my Lux Commercial upright's duct hose has a coating of dust on it that it hadn't before. Is this typical with ProTeam- and Aerus-style uprights, or isn't it secured properly?

I have an Electrolux Upright and mine has never done that. On the model I have, the duct hose will pull out of the power nozzle part and then it will screw out. New ones can be found on Ebay.  Lay it flat on the floor, face first

to work on. Pull the hose that goes into the power nozzle out and then it should unscrew from the motor base. It

might be a reverse screw in and out of the base......
