Question guys,
I have the option to get a Eureka Boss Vac. Is it any better than my Rainbow E2, Miele Blue Moon or my Oreck? It’s 45 mins away and I’m curious as to opinions.

Hi Blake,

Eureka slapped the name “The Boss” on many, many different vacuums over a 10 year period - everything from hand vacs to central vacuum systems. It would be best if you gave a more specific description of the model you are interested in buying - maybe with a photo or two.

Good vacuums but I won't say they are better than what you listed above. It is just a plastic vac and will leak dust. Now they are good performers albeit mighty HEAVY but I would not compare it to a premium brand vacuum Like Miele or Rainbow.

I remember consumer reports liked them a bit, but had issue with clogging at the suction change valve?? I THINK

Looks like just another nondescript vacuum cleaner. $999?? That must be a misprint or a joke :)

Pretty good deep carpet cleaner from Eureka - indeed highly rated for carpet cleaning performance by Consumer Reports for many years. Nice convenience features like easy to replace dustbag and full set of three World Vac style attachments on board.

But $999 is WAY too much for this Eureka. Should not cost you more than $150 if it’s new in the box.

For future knowledge, always ignore those google shopping links. They pull the prices at random off webpages. I looked up a brand new Kirby with it before, showed a price of $14.99 for the vacuum even though the photo and title was of the vacuum. Click the link and turns out it's for a pack of bags.
