I was wondering, does the current Miele active airclean (charcoal pet filter) contain hepa media. I want to get this for my Miele but I want it to draw a zero on the particle counter test. I can’t seem to find anything on it except how to change it and it’s a odor reducing filter. Does anyone know if it filters as good as the hepa airclean?

Agreed. The charcoal filter does not contain a HEPA filter. |

I have the Miele HEPA filter and bought a big jar of active charcoal for about $12. If I start to smell anything I pour some charcoal on the ground and vacuum it up. The jar likely will last me years. It seems to do the trick. |

Bought the same thing I've been using, the hepa airclean. I got some scent tabs too so hopefully that'll help. It hasn't been too bad lately. I really miss the blue hepa aircleans. The old ones, though not practical to Miele, were hepa with a charcoal activated layer. Those were awesome! I still have my original one that came with my machine. I popped it in for a while and noticed cooler temperatures from the motor and no odors.

@Mieles5380leo I miss the blue Miele HEPA filters.
The reason for the white ones is it's so they can say they have a higher level of HEPA H-14 filter that most manufacturers do not have. In Europe Miele is selling charcoal vacuum bags alongside these. CLICK HERE TO GO TO vacuumdevil's LINK |
