I’ve taken apart my Electrolux Marquis to fully clean and service it. This is the first Lux I’ve taken this far apart. I’ve pulled the motor all the way apart. I went too far and the fan blades are now loose inside the chamber. Is there a way to get to them or have I just ruined it? The fan chamber looks sealed. And I can’t seem to find a way to get it apart to get to the fan blades.

friction fit. spray some lubricant in the crack and gently pry apart with a screwdriver. Make sure you label everything as to which way it goes. | ||

Thanks for the reply Sven. Should I be prying at the seam I have circled? Or the seam to the left of it?

Compact pain or Lux pain it is still a pain
Hello All and BriGuy,
I have had to separate the stages many times and it takes being patients. Tap not pound every other inch, (or less), all the way around the front stage. When you see it begin to separate just keep doing it is off. Now you can start on the back or last stage. Keep track of what parts go where. I have better tools for doing this but at the time I was sending a picture to someone that would not have tools like I have. I know you will do good. Thank you for looking, Pete

Glad to hear you have it back together and it’s running well. Nathan Thomas (electrolux-dude on here) is our resident expert on Electrolux and a great source of expertise on the subject. He wrote a post a few years ago about how to disassemble, clean, and reassemble a Super J motor. While not the same model as yours, their anatomy are basically the same! If for nothing else, it’s a good read! Hope it helps on future projects! Enjoy!
