Hi All,

As you may have read at some point in a previous Oreck thread from July, we purchased the Oreck Elevate Conquer vacuum. I raved about it then, and here is my opinion now that the machine has been in service for 5 months.

I raved about it then, and I'm still raving now!! The Elevate Conquer has proven itself in our household many times over as a powerful, robust, and convenient cleaner. It cleans carpets far better than any Oreck I've ever seen before; the agitation and grooming is far beyond any Oreck of yesteryear. I did a test by vacuuming a certain high-traffic room only with the Oreck for 3 months, and then I went over the room with my RugMaster VGIII powerhead (which I put a brand new belt on 5 minutes before) attached to my Rainbow SE PE. The RugMaster+Rainbow pulled NO grit or heavy dirt from the carpet at all. There wasn't much dust either, which tells me that the purple Oreck CC+ HEPA+Charcoal bags really do trap dust well.

As for hard floors and small/delicate rugs, the low speed "Hard Floor" mode of the Elevate Conquer is perfect for the job. It picks up any and all dirt and dust with ease and it has never sprayed anything behind it. The only thing it doesn't agree with are bath mats/light carpet runners, but these are things best left to a stick vac/straight suction canister.

As for convenience, it's as simple as "plug it in, turn it on". It's very easy to handle and work with, and the swivel steering is a joy to work with as well. The plenty-long 35 foot cord is the same material as the Oreck cords of yesteryear, but that is pretty much where the similarities end. As for drawbacks, the only I can think of is that the wooden brushroll tends to tangle hair, but that's my only complaint.

So...I give a 10 of 10 to the Elevate Conquer. It's powerful, durable, and easy to use. If anyone on here is looking for a well-made lightweight upright, this machine gets my vote! Oreck has made a believer out of me!

I’ve been wanting to pick one of those up for a while. Very hard to find on the used market. Thanks for the review though.

I definitely was impressed when I had one of them in for service. It's a good Improvement on the Oreck XL 21 / pilot platform. I think the shows the direction TTI will bring Oreck. I think they're MSRP is a little bit High but as we know are commonly does 20% off.
Would you be willing to post a picture of the service contract that came with that vacuum I'm curious would work is giving them these days in terms of paperwork.

Here's all of the information provided along with the cardboard case it stores in. This case fits into a zippered pouch on the rear of the bag casing, which is actually completely solid with the exception of the front. The Elevate Conquer, being the TOL Elevate machine, comes with 7 years warranty and 7 years complimentary tune-ups.

As for the purchase price, I used my old Kirby G5 as a trade in during an Oreck summer promo. Full price is $599 plus tax, we paid $399 plus tax. Also, I agree that TTI really has done a world of good for the Oreck brand and hopefully will continue to do so. In addition to Oreck and Miele, our Oreck Clean Home Center now also carries some of the Royal residential line as well (the Hoover WindTunnel based bagged uprights) and will perform warranty repairs for all TTI brands as well as Miele.

Here it is!

The last picture demonstrates the "lay-flat" feature. If you swivel the machine body 180 degrees so the bag faces downwards, the machine will lie flat to go under beds and furniture. This is no gimmick; it actually works well!

That is NOT your Grandmothers Oreck-My how these have changed!

That looks like a very nice vacuum! About how heavy is the unit.....8 lbs like the older versions? That's once thing I like about my Oreck XL. My Platinum Pilot is a bit heavier I think, but still very manageable, and is much quieter than the XL model. Both units have never failed me however.

Regarding the service contract, what do they actually do when you bring it in for service? Bag/belt changes and make sure it is in top running condition? I am guessing they also fix any issue during the warranty period, free of charge?

I have always looked at Orecks as a Niche vacuum

However, they are starting to build more mainstream vacuums that are very good.

I recently purchased a factory reconditioned Oreck Edge, and I absolutely love the little vacuum. It's a little heavier that the standard Oreck, about 13 lbs, but does a stand up job of cleaning, and is quieter than the older Orecks.

@luxkid1980

They clean the vacuum change foam and felt seals new bag & belt if it takes one .
Shimming the brush roller is also standard practice during the service on an Oreck. And yes replace warranty parts.
Usually the dealer will try it to sell you a new brush roller as well.

@airway77 thanks so much for posting that. Glad you're enjoying your new TTI product.
