That's Gorgeous!!

From the top it looks like an early 50's Model XXX
in Museum Quality condition.

A true "time-capsule" find

Congratulations

P.S. More piz please

Lovely, but I believe it's a "Reconditioned by Metropolitan" specimen. None of the Model XXXs - even the last one - came with a woven vinyl hose; they were still woven cloth.

Also note the gray power cord -- XXXs always had black Belden cords.

I wish the seller had taken better - and more - photos, e.g., the cleaner out of the box, the box itself, the attachments, the polisher etc. etc. etc.

I agree with you Charles. I'll bet it's a rebuilt by Metropolitan. The blue covering would only be correct for the very last of the XXX's - and even if that was the last of the XXX's, the hose is wrong. Still it's in very nice shape, and a testimony to how well Metropolitan rebuilt those machines.
