Hi everyone! Merry Christmas! I would love to show you my Christmas present that my mom got me. My mom brought me a beautifully shaped Singer Twin Turbo Fan 6.5 amp vacuum cleaner from eBay. She made a best offer of $63 plus free shipping! As you can see this is my 1st Twin fan vacuum cleaner and always wanted one for my collection. This Singer is in almost mint condition and apparently the previous owner must of taken really great care of it! I believe this was made around the early 90’s, probably 1991. After assembling it, I turned it on and this vacuum is powerful, it hugs the carpet almost like a Kirby! One thing this is my 2nd vintage vacuum of this month, the 1st one this month was the Hoover Decade 80. I feel spoiled, lol. Anyways enjoy these pics!

One thing, I’ve also won a bidding of a set of Singer AT-1 7 pc attachments from 1985! Apparently they were never been used before and I placed a bid of $3 and won! I also got a grey Kenmore floor brush tool to go with it too. They will arrive very soon so I’ll make a post of it!

I think my parents had one of those back in the day. They got it to replace the "Brady Bunch" tan and green Hoover Convertible that was about 20 years old at that point. The thing sounded like a B-25 bomber getting ready to take off.

She worked for Singer. Her daily driver became a Hoover 1076 Convertible...................still going strong.

I cleaned my uncle's house for a long time. He died in 2012. The vacuum is still in the house. I called 1st dibs if/when the house gets broken up. It was the 1st 1076 I ever saw. It was then, that I knew I must get one. And, I did. I now have 4, one being my prized one, seen in numerous photos in the forum. Mine has had excellent servicing. It has also GIVEN excellent service.

I reply: A B-25 bomber was a large, twin-engine airplane used in WWII. If recall correctly, the Enola Gay, which dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, was a B-25.

Roybi Power Tools

Hello All and Gabriel,
First Gabriel, that is a great looking Singer.
Wow, so your Singer was made by Roybi Motor Porducts Corp of Anderson, South Carolina which is the home of Roybi Power Tools. I really found that interesting.
I believe the basic design of the twin fan was first on the Singer S-1 in roughly 1949. I know Kenmore also used that twin fan design a few years later.
Now if I am wrong about any of this twin fan stuff, please don't let the World come to a complete stop.
I will be right back, I just got to get to Home Depot before they run out of Singer vacuums.
Sorry there's not one twin fan vacuum in that picture and those Hoovers are in front of the Singers and that's just bad.
Thank you for looking,
Pete
P.S. Gabriel, I meant to ask, where is the on/off switch? Is it some how connected to the handle release as it also is labeled with On and Off? I see the High/Low switch.

Hello All and Gabriel,
Sorry, my mistake Roybi is wrong and Ryobi is correct.
Gabriel, thank you for the reply. I think should pay more attention when reading and my spelling.
I really think your mom did good in getting you the Singer and it is a really nice vacuum.
Thank you for looking,
Pete

Enola Gay

Was a B-29 Superfortress. She rolled out of assembly here in Wichita. Doc is a restored 29. Doc & Enola were two of the 1,644 29s leaving Wichita during the war. My dad helped build them originally, the welds on the engine pylons more than likely are his. Later he worked in Spokane during the remods for the last of the Korean conflict.
