Last night I dreamed about vacuum cleaners which is something I very rarely do. I think the last I dreamed about a vacuum was several years ago, I dreamed I had an orange Hoover Constellation and remember using it in the dream. A few days later I found my Penncrest Hoover Constellation.

Anyway, last night, I dreamed I was driving down my street and found a bunch of old Hoover upright vacuum boxes and boxes for attachment sets from probably the 70s and 80s. I looked through them all and disappointed there was nothing in them at all!

Then I noticed the house next door had thrown away a vacuum and it was a very fancy Kenmore bagged upright vacuum, like a Progressive or something from the late 2000s. But it was a green color kind of like some of the Hoover Windtunnels were recently and had all sorts of lights and touchpads on it. I woke up trying to remember a bright green Progressive but, alas they were never made that I know of.

I've had so many vacuum dreams over the years. The first I remember was about a Fantom (of all things) back when I was rather young and the Thunder and Fury were still 'new' machines. The commercials made them look so amazing and I wanted one so bad. I had a dream that I finally got one, and when I pulled it out of the box the cord had no plug at the end. I was so upset that I woke up...

No plug on the end of the cord...

Sounds like you were dreaming of a British model. Electrical appliances in the UK typically ship without a plug. Not sure what the reasoning is behind that.

That’s something I now know about, but definitely didn’t know at the time. I think I was maybe 6 at the time?
