Hi all,

My autistic son, now 17, has loved vacuums ever since he was 5 years old, with a particular fondness for the Versamatic Blue Vacuum (which we bought for him) and for our old Purple Hoover Elite 600, which we had when he was young, but got rid of at some point.

Over the past few years he has looked at photos of him and the vacuum from when he was young, gone online and looked at pictures and youtube videos, and asked for a "Purple Hoover Elite" for Christmas, and every year I have looked online to try to find one for sale, but no dice.

Do any of you have any advice on where I could look, online or offline, to try to buy one, or do any of you have one that you might be willing to part with? I just want to make my kiddo happy, and this would just thrill him.

Any feedback would be most gratefully appreciated!

Try your local Thrift shop, or your local Vacuum Sales and Repair center. They are still out there.

I'm not sure the model OR color is correct.

Hello Matt,

I don't remember a "purple" Hoover Elite 600. However, that said, I'm NOT a Hoover person. There may very well have been a purple one.

I did a quick search on eBay, there is one (1) Hoover Elite 600 that I found currently. Here is the link to it:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hoover-Elite-60...

There was also another one recently that sold on eBay. This one L@@Ked to be more of a "burgandy" color. Here is the link to it:

I don't know it the current listing would suffice for your son or not?!?!

If not, is the second link possibly the one you were L@@King for???

Cheers & hagd/n all,

Bill

That current listing on eBay is actually mine. The machine is not in perfect condition cosmetically but it works quite well.

gray/white, that burgundy color, and another is more 'lavender'. I'm not sure I ever saw a real purple one.
