Just wondering if anyone can tell me what stores these brand names, made by Goblin, were for. I have included the ones I know as well. Also can anyone think of others that Goblin made that I have missed?

Aristocrat - ?

Challenge - ?

Electra - Electricity Boards

Midilec - Electricity boards

Singer - Singer Sewing Centers

Spinney - ?

Swebline - Electricity Boards

Both the Spinney & Challenge brands were available through various mail order catalogues throughout the UK during the 1970s/1980s. I can't be sure which brand was covered by which catalogue though as it was quite common for both brands to be sold in more than one brand of catalogue.

Interesting the attachments, it looks like some models came with a floor tool and crevice tool, but only the higher line ones had a dusting/upholstery tool? Or was the floor tool meant to be a dusting tool also?

I’ve never seen an aristocrat branded Goblin. Hoover had Aristocrat branded models which were exclusives for independent retailers.

I love the simple motor head design of Goblin’s “Light and Easy”.... very similar to the square-topped profile of a 1970’s Hoover Convertible.

All it needs is a nice big headlight. 😊

The Light & Easy was originally made by Hotpoint

Wow! Love it!

Like our Eureka uprights in North America, these Hotpoints had a top-fill bag way back in the early 1960’s! But with two improvements: bag was more easily accessed by a side zipper, and the throat with coil fastener is actually at the top!

The music is groovy too!
