Hello there, I have received my Hoover Junior 1340 today. I am very pleased with how good of a vacuum it really is. Lightweight, good quality, and has the same beating action that the Convertible has. Overall, I’m very pleased with it. All I need to do, is get a front cover for it.

Here’s the videos I made of it

They are small, but strong.
They were called the "apartment vacuum" over here. People who had small apartment or needed a cleaner, say, for "upstairs" got them. I'm sure you'll get a cover.
F&G bags might not be a very good idea.

After using both of my 115's and seeing the one on the video-these machines are what Oreck and other compact uprights would like to be.The classic Hoover floor shaking action-and when you check the bag-you will see LOTS of dirt in there!I have a cloth outer bag for a Hoover Lark-and a hang tag on the cloth bag detailed on assembling the machine-The Lark looks just like the one in the video-a miniature version of a convertible.Would like to have one othese 1300 series vacuums.Hopefully the lady that has one in this area will trade hers in for another machine at the Sew&Vac place.Wished I had the vacuum my bag goes too!Bought it at a swap shop-a box of misc vacuum parts.

Please don’t compare a Hoover Junior to an Oreck...No where near.

The Hoover Junior had the same performance as the Senior (US Convertible) just smaller...They were designed for a time when the majority of the UK people lived in terrece houses, houses are much bigger these days.

Yes,the Hoover runs rings around an Oreck-and my 115's only have a 230W motor-2A compare that to the 4-5A motor on an Oreck.Oops, shouldn't have said that!
