Hello,
I once had a pair of old, unusual vacuums that I am trying to find info on. Unfortunately I cannot remember the manufacturer's name. They were green in color and we're shaped like a small drum, about 15 or so inches in diameter. The wheels were on each end, and the "drum"
laid sideways. The hose came out the side of the drum. So as you pulled it around, the wheels turned and the center remained stationary. It was a cool design, and was the -only- canister vac I ever used that could drag across it's own power cord without getting "stuck". Has anyone here seen or remember what these were? I'm guessing they were made in the 60's
Thanks,
James

Hoover is now selling a bagless vac that is similar to the Roll Easy..... not sure if it is a good performer, but if you like the unique rolling drum design, here it is at Home Depot:

I have one of these cleaners, a gift from a good friend. I can't seem to find a picture of mine, though.
They are a great machines. Quiet, powerful, and a huge bag!
Anyways, glad I could solve the mystery!

The little wheel

Notice the little wheel on the front of the Hoover that looks to eliminate the hose wear problem on the old Roll Easy. Guess they read some of the user experiences for the old G.E. on the forums etc..
