Hi guys. I recently found a Fantom Thunder that was being sold near me. The person wants $100 for the vacuum. Looking at the photos the vacuum seems to be in pretty good condition still, it even comes with a hose extension and some other stuff including an extra bin. So would $100 be a fair price?

Yes!

That is a very good deal! It comes with a HEPA filter, extension hose and a new bin. I'd buy that myself if I was near it!

Actually, that bag may have something I want...
If you buy it let me know what's in that bag!

Go get that vacuum IMMEDIATELY! Don't even hesitate or think about it. With the amount of extra goodies that Fantom has, it's very good overall condition, & the fact this was arguably Fantom's best model, $100 is a steal. They should have put a $2-- on that at the very least.

Personally, I wouldn't pay money for a Fantom. I have a Thunder and a Fury, but they were both free. If you really want one and you find a pristine one (its still possible, both of mine are) for a price $30 or less, thats about the most I would say something like this is worth. Due to the lack of parts or filters, such a thing really can't be used all that regularly, I just drag it out when I feel sentimental about wanting one back in the 90s...

I can see where you're coming from, but this is my one shot at buying one. Fantoms don't pop up very often on the Hawaii CL. Last time I saw a Fantom vacuum (Cyclone XT model) on CL was 2 years back. And unlike how most of you guys on Vacuumland go to garage sales or thrift shops I don't do that very often. This Thunder seems to be in a much better condition then some other Thunders I've seen on the forums and also comes with some extra items such as an extension hose, HEPA filter, bin, and other things in that bag. I'm planning to pick up the vacuum today, I'll see if I can get the price lowered when I meet up with the person.

I now own a Fantom Thunder

I finally picked up this vacuum yesterday, and guess what? Didn't have to pay a thing. I also got the extension hose and extra bin but he forgot to give me the extra filter (not too worried about it right now). Anyways the Fantom is in pretty nice shape, only things wrong with it is that the bulbs are burned out, tip of the handle is cracked, some deep scratches on the plastic, missing 2 of the attachments and that's about it. Everything else was perfectly fine.

I kind of wish Fantoms were made in Japan.

Need some help.

Does anybody know what/where this metal spring belongs? Yesterday while I was cleaning the brush roll this spring fell out from the light cover area.

That spring belongs to the bottom of the Fantom, it's used to assist the upright motion and mobility.
Email me if you need some assistance
