Remember the concept II power drive I posted last night, well I have one interesting question that no one in vacuumland has ever asked, when Hoover started making the concept II's,didn't they also have an optional tool set including a concept tool converter, because as you can see the concept one & II have slots on the nozzle where the tool converter is locked into place and for the concept II,it has the same bottom plate as the concept one.

I placed the tool converter correctly and it seems to fit perfectly like the concept one.

If the concept II didn't came with a tool set with converter then maybe that's why it has the helpmate hand vac with a brush and crevice tool.Just curious.

The attachment set was optional at additional cost. Most upright vacuums did NOT automatically come with tools, unless it was a promotional model at a special price (Eureka did that all the time - pack one model with tools as a special for K-Mart).

That's right, I did saw some 70's/80's Kmart eureka ads before on this site, but I did this post because I noticed there was no mention about the concept II with an attachment set and I happen to get a little curious about it.

I had also seen some of the....

Lower line Convertibles too offer as a price "With Tools".

Also as far as Eureka is concerned. I have paperwork that shows all the mid range and lower line models with tools at extra cost, but where the top of the line machine is offered complete with a deluxe tool kit with a handy kaddy.

My mom cleaned a house for an elderly lady in the 90s that had this same model of concept II she bought new from the Calverts department store that had a Hoover store in the basement and she had the set of tools she bought with it so yes they were made for the Concept II just like they were made for the Concept I
