Found this gem at the curb this morning. Was very surprised to find it, even still has its original cord the tweakers hadn't got to yet! Needed a new belt and general cleaning. Looks like its a 1999 model year, no attachments however. HEPA filter is in great shape, brush roll could due to be changed... Ive found fantom vacs in the trash before but they were always destroyed for the motors and cords, I cant stand the tweakers I have to compete with looking for good garbage... they will destroy an appliance or item I could normally sell for a good amount of money for the pocket change at best they get for the "precious metal" inside this stuff. It drives me up the wall. Doesn't seem like there is parts available for these save for belts or filters now a days. Cleaned up pics are the last of the bunch!

Oh yeah I used to run into that often when dumpster diving, people cut the cord off for that 5 cents of copper. Scrapyards here don't even take braided copper wire anymore (like extension cords) because it's impossible to melt cleanly and the strands go all over the place once you strip the sheathing off. They only take solid gauge wiring.

Nice find! I'd never bring a trash find vacuum in my house until its fully sanitized and disinfected though, bedbugs and fleas are all over here in the midwest.

Hi I'm Gabriel and I'm new to vacuumland, I also have a '99 fantom fury that I got for $50 at a indoor "garage" sale for raising money for kids camp 2 yrs ago,it's in good condition,it had almost all of the attachments except for the dusting brush including the 7 ft hose and optional pet hair tool with holder and extra lightbulbs and belts too,but I did finally found the dusting brush on eBay a few months ago,the suction is ok,not strong but I think it might need a new hepa filter, but anyways, nice to meet you and that's still a great vacuum find,I think they're a collectible today.
