Hello All,
I drove about 15 miles to pick this Hoover 1170 up. It was a one owner and do to death had not been used for a number of years. It is complete except for the owner’s pamphlet. It sounds great but both belts are rotten and unusable. I think they are Hoover package of 2 belts Style 49 so I will order them on eBay. It does have some of the normal scratches, but to have with all the attachments and the attachment bag it is okay. I guess 15 bags are enough to last for 8 to 10 years if I were to ever use it.
Thanks for looking,
Pete

THat is a real workhorse. The tool hookup is great. So is the suction. It'll take off on you if you're not careful. Some might complain about the suction. Just how much suction does one need?
Enjoy your vacuum.
John

I use a custom 1178 frequently...I changed the brushroll for a Quadraflex after Jeff Parker told me about his doing that. A properly serviced DAM will have plenty of power to keep the house clean!
