Joanne surprised me a few weeks ago with a second Electrolux 404, Now I have one for each house. This one is in a bit of a state externally but internally looks hardly used.
A while back i got a garage full of New old stock Electrolux parts from the 70;s and included were 3 bags for the 404. I fitted one to my current 404 and gave one to my Good friend Heinrich for his 404 and i have a spare for this, Cant wait to restore it. |

It was designed by the agents for Electrolux in SA at the time Barlows, It was designed to complete against the then popular Hoover Ranger, although allot bigger it was slightly lighter. It was sold under the Electrolux and Columbus names here, The Columbus one been orange. Their were as I have discovered even commercial versions of it with a Red bag and Red hood but still branded Electrolux
