So this was one of the very first USA derived hoovers I had come across here in Sa. During the late 90's Uk hoover pulled out and a new company took over and they sourced their vacuums from the USA. This was the TOL model retailing for almost R 3000.00 back then ( about the equivalent of $ 300.00 back in the late nineties.
I got a poor example in early 2000 but it was badly damaged, kept it never the less. A few weeks back my Friend Wesley found one but while its body was ok the power drive and dirt finder function didn't work, the brush is also caput.. We did a deal for a machine he wanted and Joanne arranged a courier to collect it, Its be standing for a few weeks but I am finally getting to get it sorted. It needs quiet a bit of work but I am very excited to get it working. With this machine I now have the entire Hoover upright range from the late 90's, still to be found are the cylinders and a spin scrub |

The motor is in good condition, The bearings are still very good so I decided not to change them.
