I got this the same day as the singer I recently posted, a whole $10! Not bad considering this is the very first powermax, or anything from the concept lineage that I've found that actually works. Bad luck maybe? Either way, as you can see most of the attatchments are missing, but it does have the hose amd extention wands. How does this one fall on the lineup of powermax's (high end model/low end)? Let me know what you think of it!
Also fun side story. One time I was at a goodwill in Ohio, near Cinci, amd I go in there, and there's a powermax!.....that has graffiti spray painted all over it! Who the heck does that to a sweeper?? |

Powermax info/history,
The powermax did replace the concepts about 1992 right around the time where Concepts and Convertibles were discontinued. The Powermax did not stay around long before they were discontinued for the improved "Powerdrive" which to me was the love child between an Elite and Concept. I think by 94-95 the Powermax was gone. There were 5 models, Top of the line black, next step down was green, then maroon, then blue, and last but not least bottom of the line in a turquoisy color. I'm told one of the reasons they weren't around much was because they tried to pack to many amps on a needle bearing motor and they would scream but still a great cleaner. |
