Hello all you knowledgeable Masters out there. Were there 1 and 2 speed Hoover 725s?
I own 2 Hoover 725s that I thought all were 2-Speed vacuums but it turns out that one is only a 1-Speed with what I call a 700 handle with the "H" switch, the base is
S/N 7946679, Motor S/N 7M998843 with Light Switch and is 300 Watts. The other is a 2_speed with a 2-Speed handle and switch and the Base is S/N 7976849, Motor S/N 8M033920 with Light Switch and is also 300 Watts. This being said I have taken the 1-Speed motor fan off and bottom motor bearing plate off to check if the low speed wire had been cut, but that is not the case the motor is a true 1-Speed motor.
I know that 85 years could mean that many hands may have been involved with these. Or could it be that there were 1-Speed Hoover 725s? If anyone has the answer, please let me know.
I seem to have the same situation with 2 Hoover 800s.
Thank you for your time
