I ran across this on craigslist. Its a G.E. upright with what appears to be the New York City skyline in its logo. 1940's maybe? |

What a unique model number - NYS. And a very low serial number. All GE uprights from that time period that I've ever seen have a model number that starts with AVF.
I know there was a world's fair in New York in the 1930's - it's possible that machine was designed to either be sold there or commemorate GE's participation in the fair. |
