I picked this up at an estate sale and it is in really good condition. Its number is 9331980. I think this is the first one that floats. I've seen a few others on here.

One this it didn't come with is the hose, and the hose from my other constellation seems a bit too big. Does anyone have a spare hose for this they would be willing to part with? I'd like to get this to be a complete set. Thanks for considering it.

In this picture I haven't cleaned it up yet. It should polish up real good though.

Very clear and concise. But, then again, look at your subject!

I had one of these as shown in the first picture.  Not nearly as nice as the ones shown here.

Was one of my first vacs and turned into a creativity project.

I found it on the curb and the base was  missing and to keep it from rolling around, whoever had it dented the base to create a flat spot.

I plugged it in, it worked fine and had the hose, but the base of course was shot.  I took it apart and realized there is the flat center.  I ended up building a square wooden base in shop class (I was 15) out of 1/4" plywood.  I did a really good job considering....... Then mounted the motor and flat base on the box and then of course the round hood.  Put some wheels on it and there you go.  lol.

I actually ended up pairing it with a late 60s Kenmore power nozzle.....  having a hose cord..... plugged two hoses end to end to gain length.   Wow, I'd forgot all about this.

It was fun.  It was good for spurring creative thinking.

Alex asked if John has a Hoover Constellation, LOL.

Alex, I would be very surprised if John doesn't have one in every color for each model released. OK, fine, *maybe* he's missing one or two colors or models, but I'm pretty sure he has a bunch of them. ;-)

bias

I did sense just a bit of bias in John's comment.  I don't know what it is about him.   hmmmmm .

I feel powerful

"gay autism"  that "shows"   ?

I have only a limited idea what this means in street language, but apparently I have the power to make some people self conscious..... and thus, uncomfortable.

I LOVE it !

We'll miss you royalfan.

Silly Boy! That's like asking Martha Stewart if she knows how to cook?
Yes, I have one. I THINK I actually DO have at least one of them all. PERHAPS missing 1...dunno. I'll check with Tom. Tom who? Well, Tom Anderson, "THE" Hoover expert. He'll tell me if/what I'm missing.
I'm preparing a shelf in the "gallery" to properly display them.

Greg, I, too,

make people (well some) uncomfortable. For some, it's with good reason, for some, it's because "I know.............." Some, I make furious, some I make laugh. And, some, I just make smile.

@gottahaveahoove I was kind of hoping you would show us more of your collection.

From the pictures I've seen you post before,I figured you have own personal Hoover Museum.

Oh, Todd, everyone that knows me personally is rolling on the floor laughing out lout right now.

Honey, I'm not gay, although sometimes I wish I were. Everyone and their brothers-in-law know I'm just bisexual. Some have been waiting for *decades* for my "phase" to be over and for me to discover I'm gay. Nope, still like men and women. Still in a monogamous gay marriage. I know, it infuriates people sometimes, they think I'm using my "gay privilege" to hide that I'm actually bi. They keep telling me I *need* to tell everyone I'm gay. I tell them that y'know, the gay card has such high interest fees and the annual fees are expensive too, keeping up with fashion is so expensive, and I got the bi card for free -- sure, it's not as pretty, it's just a picture of me on the fence, but it's all I could get my hands on so far. Oh, well.

As for the autism, sorry, not that lucky either. There are *so* many scientists, doctors, artists etc that are on the spectrum, so many great discoveries and inventions by people on the autism spectrum. But I think you'll find that doctors say I'm not on the spectrum or at least I shouldn't get my hopes up that I'd be. Oh, well.

As for showing up often here -- I show up as often as I can. Not as often as I'd like lately, but what can one do, right?

As for you, well, feel free to show up, we don't mind seeing you here.

Have fun!
