I've never seen one like this before, only the power-nozzle-equipped version that Skip has. Perhaps this was a lower-end model? Appears to be in nice shape.

Austin

Austin I have never seen one like it either and with the way it's made I know now that Whirlpool sure did make the kenmores as this one sure looks like a Kenmore

I don't remember if it was Whirlpool or Kenmore, but one of these companies gave it the name "Low Boy". I got a similar model in the Kenmore version for my 4th Xmas after my mother threw my beautiful blue/grey Constellation- one of the first. I remind her all the time of what that machine is worth as a collectible. Anyway, here's a rare pic of me and Xmas present.

I sure wish I had it today, along with the Kenmore Commander my nextdoor neighbor gave me. I suppose my mother had a complex, as she kept making these machines disappear. Lordy! It's not like I was playin with dolls or anything! (but I did! LOL)

I found a similar RCA/Whirlpool model at a sale once and gave it to Scott O. (now in Los Angeles) I'm not sure if he still has it. I think it said "Bambi" on the box or literature.

I do vaguely remember seeing the name Bambi on a package of bags at the supermarket whan I was little. I think the brand name of bags was Glamourene or something like that. They were on display stand with those big carpet shampooers that had the transparent icy-blue shampoo tanks.

Does Kyle's have the power nozzle? If so, is it the rectangular box-shaped head which spawned the Kenmore PowerMates or is it the longer L-shaped head which spawned the much later Oreck power nozzle?
