Hi all! I recently stumbled upon this eBay listing for a brand new in box Numatic George...best part is that it was only $219! I feel like that is an insanely good deal, and I'm pretty excited to have one of these machines since they are not that common here in the US.

Now is there anything that I need to know prior to using it for extracting? Like what shampoo should I use and how can I take care of it over time. Any comments are appreciated!

Nick

Very nice, that particular one was manufactured in week 20 of 2005, it is an older model but pretty much identical to the newest ones.

Any carpet washint shampoo should work fine, as long as it is designed for a wet extraction machine...George comeswith a botel of shampoo called "Nuchem 4" it should still be ok to use.

Hopefully it is a proper US model and not a 120v UK version with the site transformer plug...Even if it is, no biggy, just have to take it off and put the US plug on as the voltage would be the same, however, I imagine it is a regular US market version.

I almost bought that cleaner! LOL. I ended up finding a Bissell big green complete on craigslist for a steal locally. Needed the heating element unclogged and pump cleaned out and is good as new. Lucky dog! Still kind of want a George...let us know how it works out!
