What's wrong with Hoover Vacuum belts? A Convertible belt used to last a year or longer with hard use. Now they are lucky to last a couple of months with little use. And they won't stretch over the pulley. It's nearly impossible.

Brian,

If you think you're having issues, give the folks at Hoover's customer service hotline a call at 1-800-944-9200, and please describe your belt issues to them as best as possible.

The 49258 belt is now No Longer Available. It has been replaced by the softer (commercial grade) 44783 belt. They are a much better belt and last longer.
