Since it was so unbearably hot in Charlotte today, I decided to have a Hoover spa treatment center this afternoon with some of my favorite clients. Posed for glamour shots from left to right are:

the 150, 28, 63, 64 Citation, 67 and 69

If the weather stays like this, I will have to have Kirby, Air-Way and Electrolux spa days too!

Beautiful! They all look showroom new!
Out of curiosity how did you run them all at once? If I run 2 machines, in different circuits I can blow a fuse!
Amazing machines!

Andy,
I used strategically placed outlets throughout the living room! (And held my breath that a circuit breaker would not blow)

Thanks for the nice comments.

Very nice Charlie! The model 67 is one that has eluded me all these years. Wonder why Hoover went back to the pink so soon?

They are ALL stunning machines.

I grew up with the 67. It's actually not pink, rather, "Fawn Brown". Still, you've gotta love them all.
Glad to hear from you, Charlie.

It's my favorite too.

I have a few, because you never know when you could use a good 69.

Oh my John, that could be taken as a bit salacious! However, the 69 does fit in ones hand very comfortably with it's cushion grip and the balance is very nice.

From what I have heard, the 69 is popular with collectors and somewhat sought after.

If you ask me (and some don't...), the 69 is of the best looking Convertibles, alongside the 1070 and 31!

SPA DAY

What a magnificent line-up!!!  I'd say 'Pristine' comes to mind.

Thanks Rick! It is a labor of love. I've significantly reduced my collection so it is far more manageable and easier to keep, "pristine".

The 69 is my fav as well. I love that Neptune Green!!! Why didn't Hoover make a whole set in this color?

They all look stunning Charlie

Why didn't they?

Can you imagine a whole 'set'? That's the $100,000.00 question!

What would have been interesting is if Hoover, (while it was still really Hoover), did a retro line of machines. Old machines in new colors. Like the 150 in Neptune Green or 825 in the same red used on the 29. The newer machines could have incorporated current technology making them lighter, more efficient and using a disposable bag.

The convertible colors could have been resurrected on retro coffee can models and even the tanks. The tanks could have been vintage style with new power nozzles, again, using new technology. When the connie was brought back it seemed to do alright although arguably it needed a power nozzle to compete in todays world.
