We decided to have our annual Independence Day cookout early, on Sunday. No particular reason, "just because."

I grilled brats marinated in olive oil, lemon juice, agave syrup, garlic, sweet onions and a mélange of bell peppers, and some pork ribs.

I also made potato salad and roasted corn on the cob that we had along with fresh, very sweet and juicy pineapple slices.

Arlee grilled some Tilapia. No, I did not have any. "Can't go there."

Of course, the furry critters (all three) were on hand, their little twitching noses up in the air and begging for food. (Falyn has the most voracious appetite of any cat I have ever known, and will eat just about anything!)

Speaking of Falyn, she has become right at home and has even begun tolerating Doggie and LoLo.

I hope everyone has a meaningful and safe Independence Day celebration.

Falyn looks like she's still growing. That takes a lot of fuel. My cat Pinot is a little more than a year old and even though she's full grown, she still eats like she's growing. She easily puts away twice as much food--maybe more--each day than Lily, who's about six.

I have almost the same identical charcoal grill, but mine is branded as a Master Forge instead of Kingsford. I think i got mine at Lowe's about 3 or so years ago.

Nice!

I was looking at one. great price too. I use a small Weber smokey Joe now. It's old, so I need to replace it.
It's mainly the two of us now. We don't host large groups, so although I really want one of those big round heavy ceramic lined smoker grills, we don't need it.
