Here we have my Electrolux B-8 Floor and Carpet Beautifier. My grandmother purchased this new sometime around 1970 from Conrad, our Friendly Electrolux Man. She used it 1 or 2 times a year. With (6 at the time) 8 kids, and a house to run she had her hands full! But she always made sure the carpets were shampooed, and the floors were buffed at least once or twice a year. In 1996 she traded it in at a Local Vacuum Shop (I frequent this store for parts and treasures) on a Hoover Power-Drive (this was my first vacuum).
The shop owner, a notorious pack-rat, threw it up in his store attic, among about 200 other trade in machines. Last summer I had gone there and was picking through the attic and came across it. He remembered my Grandmother bringing it in, so he gave it to me.
Anyways, Since I service and rebuild a lot of Vacuums, the carpet on my work bench gets absolutely filthy! I took it out to the garage today, to shampoo with the Lovely B-8. The Vacuum I paired it with is an Electrolux epic 3000 upright. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
Oh and for shampoo I used Stain-X brand High Foam Shampoo, from Steel City Vacuum.

Awesome machine. Try the genuine Aerus Turbo Shampoo sometime. It really does an amazing job.
